Warming up Students watch a video to revise the usage of the verb canand the structure “Yes, I can”. After that teacher asks a couple of students the following questions to consolidate the usage of structures: xxx(name), can you write? xxx (name), can you sing? xxx (name), can you speak English? Teacher demonstrates slides 3-7 which contain questions like “Can you/he/she…” to elicit “Yes/No I/he/she/you can/can’t…” answers. Positive of can (FA) Students get worksheets containing 7 mixed affirmative sentences with the verb can. The task is to put the words in the correct order thus making statements. Task time limit is 15 minutes.
